Benefit Auction: Teaching and Learning through Photography, Tanzania

Please join Steven Kasher Gallery, Wendy Ewald, and Katy Homans on March 28th from 6-8pm for a benefit auction supporting Teaching and Learning through Photography: Tanzania. The organization works to provide visual aids and teaching strategies to educators in Tanzania. The auction is part of a Paddle8 campaign featuring artworks by Carrie Mae Weems, Stephen Shore, Sally Mann, Susan Meiselas and others. During our event on the 28th you’ll be able to see and bid on available artworks, meet some of the featured artists, and hear remarks from Wendy Ewald and Katy Homans. Online bidding begins on March 15th and runs through March 30th at 5pm, and a selection of the works will be on view at Steven Kasher Gallery March 20–30. With your help Teaching and Learning through Photography: Tanzania will become an integral part of the curriculum in education for student teachers at the University of Dodoma in Tanzania.
